As above I've been looking at the deals on the MG ZS EV on Motability hopefully getting a phone call tomorrow about it.
Just wanted to ask if anyone could tell me if it was a good idea or not?
From the experience of owning one already what should I be aware of or should I just go for it?
The obvious question is range (MG say 163)
How true is this or is it considerably lower/higher I'm looking at it being a 2015 Leaf owner so I've got a lot less range myself
Any help or advice would be a big help
Thanks

I’m having dealer problems and car software issues so I can not recommend the ezs.

Winter range for me was about 100 miles. Dropping to 2.4 mkWh with all heaters on etc.

I love driving an all electric car, but never will I consider mg / saic again.

Done 16000 miles in mine.

Been a good car other than a bollocks BMS update at first service which caused available battery to shrivel up, but which has now been fixed with an update.

100 miles fast (70+ mph) motorway freezing winter, 160 miles moderate summer driving is typical.

Does about 50-60% more miles than a LEAF 24.

Decent pace, comfortable ride but handling is let down by soft springs and dampers at the back with lack of independent rear suspension.

Inside is comfortable enough, build quality of tactile components is better than budget cars, and the boot is a good size and shape.

Dealers seem to be a weak spot. Best reputation-wise on the Facebook page are Chorley (c/o Miles Roberts), Luscombes, and Vic Youngs in South Shields - not seen any tales of woe involving them (yet).

I've had a MG ZS EV on Motability.
I've done just under 2500 miles in two months and the cars been brilliant.
120 miles range in winter and pushing up towards 150 miles range now.
I always drive in eco and regen 3 and usually have the HVAC on.
Motability were great as were MG Wolverhampton. They sorted my home charger (free of charge 😄), MG Wolvo' also gave me a new type 2 cable.
The cars been great and if you look around you may get zero advance payment with Motability.

I Can't speak about their service on working with MG, but they have been a pain to deal with for me and a Zoe that I was told by Renault directly to take to them (I'm unsure of the link but it was the manufacturer's idea!) - They had the car for well over a week for work that should have taken 2-3 days max, and ultimately didn't even fix it. Courtesy car was booked well in advance but they apparently had no knowledge of this. Everything was booked out and I ended up in one of their rental vans for a week instead... Which they then decided to try and charge me for pre-existing damage on. Also when you need to chase them up you have no chance of getting them to answer the phone.

Maybe they are better with MG as they seem to be a specialist dealer for them, but my personal experiences haven't been great.

That's all sounding better than my Leaf 24.
Nissan have been utterly worthless since day one.
Fair enough lockdown was all last year basically but no matter how many phone calls or emails I still can't get their app to work.
So not having an app with MG will be fine
I've spoken to someone from MG Burnley last night and we can have the Excite with zero down payment or pay £299 for the Exclusive
Best I could find with others was £1500 down100-150 sounds good too

Ring MG Chorley they were doing a zero deposit on Motability for the Exclusive. I showed that to where I got my ZS EV from and they matched it.

Checked all the advice offered and couldn't get one at zero cost 😥 but still absolutely delighted as picking up the exclusive in pimlico blue on Tuesday evening for £199 excess 👍
Still got a leaf to get me to work and back daily
MG for longer trips and running around with our son 😁
Thanks for all the help
