Hello dear forum friends,

As promised, we have recently taken delivery of a large number of used Nissan LEAF, which we are currently preparing for sale.

All will be sold with a minimum of 1 year's Nissan Cared4 warranty, and the balance of any manufacturer's warranty. We are a Nissan main dealer, and can offer full dealer services including finance, part exchange, extended warranties, etc.

The following list of cars will be updated with further information as I get it (such as paint colour for example!). For now, all cars are assumed to be 3.3kW onboard chargers, and will be 24kWh battery, supplied with 3-pin EVSE charging lead, and a free PodPoint home charger installation (subject to survey).

If you would like to get a personalised quote for your mileage requirements, please contact our Chorley branch on 01257 240600.

The finance examples are based on 3 years PCP at 8k miles per annum, with £1000 deposit contribution from us, and 3.9% APR.

And so it begins the death spiral of the original leaf ;) Thanks Miles, this was to be expected with the new car on the Horizon, I wonder what state of battery health some of the older/high mileage leafs are in, any purchase or rental for me would have to be upon the receipt of a very recent battery report, thanks for sharing I am sure some of these will fly off your hands, a great stop gap for those waiting for the new Leaf but not wanting to back to a slow smelly stinky ice.(y)

For those wanting to use these cars as a stop gap would you or any other Nissan main dealer offer a trade up deal so people are not locked in to the PCP with charges if they want to come out early and get in to the new Leaf this/next year?

I'm very tempted to get one and commute to work and then use my "Evil Diesel" van to do the work that's out of the range of the car.

Damn my heart and my head are fighting.

I pay almost £200 a month in diesel just commuting. Although I'd have to figure in the cost of a new distribution board at home as there's no space in there to add an EVSE to.

What's the rating of your supply fuse? My friend got his house upgraded from 60A to 100A for very minimal cost, and then podpoint were able to fit a 32A untethered quite easily.

Lol! - if it helps i did 848 miles last month, at an electricity cost of £15 home charging and £13 roadside charging. In my old dinofuelled lumpo it would have cost me £94 in fuel.

We have a 100 amp incoming feed, but the distribution board is full of breakers as we have circuits for an electric shower and an electric cooker point as well as the usual lighting and sockets etc.
To get space for another breaker we'd have to have a larger distribution board.

Aha, so you need a physically larger consumer unit, rather than a greater electrical capacity. I understand.

Worth getting a quote from an electrician I reckon?
Yeah physically larger, sorry for the confusion, lots of things to check and price up, especially as it's my mums house and is a pre-paid meter so 16.5p a kWh. Still a lot cheaper than diesel, by about 10p a mile, but there's the "I don't know what you're doing to my house" factor to consider :)
I'm talking myself out of it the more I type........stopping typing now.

Yeah my old house I just a small "addon" consumer unit for the EV charger, and chargemaster didn't charge any extra for it.

Ahh, wasn't sure if that was a choice, I guess I need to speak with a friendly electrician and beg my mum for permission to mess with the cupboard at the bottom of the stairs.
Hopefully I'll have a better idea by the time we know the colours etc.

Fag packet calc suggests you are doing 1500-1800miles per month dependent upon you current diesel mpg, which could be completed with ca 440kWh of electricity at 16.5p/kwh = £72. A fuel saving of over £100 a month and you are worried about the colour ?:confused:o_Oo_O:whistle::whistle:;);););)

Being realistic, if that's your sort of monthly mileage think hard about the battery range / charging requirements you'd need in an EV

Really can't wait for 30kwh to hit the same price point later in the year (least I hope so)
Great offers Miles!

I do a round trip of around 56 miles a day for my commute, mostly motorway and fast A roads. Did a test drive in an e-NV200 van ages ago and was doing ok with range for the commute itself, the issue was my extra trips out for work which meant a rapid charge or two during my working day, which was not acceptable.
The trips out are usually 40 or 50 miles round trip on the motorway and I don't have time to get a rapid charge, and no destination charging at any of the sites.

I've done the calculations and getting a Leaf isn't going to save me any money over the 3 year term as I'd still need my VW T5 van for work and holidays. The fuel saving would go to the cost of the Leaf, and then there's the insurance cost too, which turns out is about twice what I pay for the T5.

Once again I'm frustrated as I really like driving electric. It was a nice idea while it lasted. Damn.

Sorry for wasting your time, Miles.
