Is there any physical difference between the two, padding /support?
I was under the impression that it's just a colour change, but I've just been informed the white is a different/better seat.

Any users care to weigh in?

I've sat in both black and white seats and I can confirm (as far as I can tell) that there is absolutely no difference in comfort or padding. it's purely colour.

May I ask where you heard it was different/better? Are you sure they didn't mean it's 'better' in the sense that it looks better? Because it certainly does! :D Wish I had white seats but I couldn't bring myself to spend an extra £1k for them to show a lot of dirt.

I was from a dealer. In relation to a 3P with the white interior (unsurprisingly) , and he definitely did mean better, as they where his actual words, more comfortable with better support.

I don't know about comfort, but for looks I'd go for the white seats. And I don't find it hard to clean.

I had white and liked them. There is no cooling fan and we hoped they would be cooler than the black.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he was just trying to get more money out from you. There shouldn't be any difference between the two in terms of comfort. I'd say go for whatever you like the looks of. If you prefer white and you don't mind paying an extra £1k then go for it. Don't base your decision on comfort as I seriously doubt there's any difference between the two.

They are exactly the same - apart from the colour :sneaky:. Be very careful what any dealer tells you about any Tesla, very few know what they are talking about. Unfortunately the same can often be said of Tesla's own staff 😟

I'd be trying hard to find a car from a different place to buy, you can't always when there is limited stock, but dealers who make stuff up don't deserve your business

There was a relatively well known dealer specialisng in sale or return mid to high end cars who got into flipping Teslas for a few few grand profit a time, he even owned one himself, who came a cropped telling everyone supercharging transfered on cars where it didn't. He didn't help himself denying he was a dealer on the owners forums while asking questions which were effectively customer questions.

At the price point they aimed for, Tesla designed the Model 3 to have as little variation as possible between the various specs & LHD/RHD (ie one central screen to suit all).

Seats are exactly the same PU leather apart from the white colour replacing black where appropriate (also used in the Model Y with fronts on risers, to achieve further economies of scale).
