I think it likely it had not been correctly fitted at the factory but I will check it in a few months to see if it has detatched again
Brilliant work, I am 100% sure that YOU have found & fixed the problem @Flyingstoo !.
Did the video I found, offer an help getting the roof lining down ?.
Maybe you should enquire about a job at the MG dealership :giggle: .
Two fixes in two weeks now under your belt.
I am confident that you will be cancelling ANOTHER appointment made for the 16th now !.
Another tick in the box, they will all be out of a job the way you are going on ;).
Persistence does pay off (y).

I tried the roof gutters and rear window but it doesn't appear to enter from those areas
There is a test I saw for this sort of leak it was Ed China on wheeler dealers.He used a smoke device like what heating engieers and gas installers use when checking for leaks for the escape of carbon monoxide.You set one off in the car or the boot and close all doors and windows and watch for the smoke to leak out of the car.Hope this can help.
