Just test drove a 16 reg B250e and it made a very noticeable (and annoying) noise like a dentist drill each time I pressed down the accelerator. I thought at first it might be the pedestrian warning sound but it was always present (went to 50 mph). Has anyone experienced this? thanks

It's been a while since I had my B250e. There was some motor noise which in my opinion got a little louder over the time I owned it and was high pitched and a little whiney but I didn't think of it as being especially intrusive.

I wouldn't describe it as being similar to a dentist drill, nor did I find it annoying. So you're either just very used to EVs with very quiet motors or there may be something wrong with the car.

Ive heard that the bearing on the tesla drivetrain in those fails due to hv arching or something (essentially creating pitting in the bearings. Its something that has been repaired by specialists.

Depends what era Tesla unit is in it - if it's an early unit it might fail - run, run away fast.
