I believe you must not attach ANYTHING to the roof rails, they are decorative only.....

See their website which even has a disclaimer on the photo.

Hi There,

I was wondering if anyone has a roof box fitted and how it affects range?

Regards,

Kev.
In my previous experience with a Karrite Odyssey on my Zoe you'd see about a 10% drop at 65mph. I've not tried my box on the MG but I have had 3 bikes up there, much worse for drag and saw anything from 15-40% drop in range. 15 in favourable conditions, 40 into a strong headwind, which I totally misjudged due to the exceptional torque of the MG (totally disguised I was driving into a hoolie).

Recall an Autoexpress test of mpg on an Astra some years ago - roof boxes cost 5-10% range iirc. Similar to driving with windows open at speed.

As Sandy says, bikes are much worse due to their drag, compared to a streamlined box.
