Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs.
Its my first winter with my model 3 so this is something I didn't know and hadn't experienced till the other night.
I tried using the Agile troughs to charge the car cheaply the other night, 5 half hour troughs, all an hour apart.
It doesn’t work in this weather 0c and below as most of the charge (18min/30 min) goes to warming the battery up to take the charge so I only get 12 min of actual charge to the battery. So only 60 min of actual charge (8kW) to the car, which took nearly 20kW from the meter!!
Lesson learned!
When its cold, embrace the lower peaks with the troughs and charge for a shorter time. Much more efficient charging as you only have the one battery warm up period and ends up costing you less.

Interesting that the battery doesn't stay warm during the "troughs" and has to reheat from scratch each time. It must have been proper toasty by the last one.

Sounds like you need a leaf, they don’t worry about trivial things like how warm the battery is! 😉
