According to Nyland, range on or off makes no difference regardless of outside temperatures as long as the battery pack fully up to temp.

Only thing that really effect his consumptions is rain!

PS Nylon has a 2WD P85.

He also did a comparison video between a P85D and his own 2WD with range mode on, I think?

Trip in my S85 yesterday charged to Max daily setting (90%) showed 220 miles range at start. Drove 156 miles (Portsmouth to Leicestershire) mostly on AP at 70 mph though a few overtaking maneuvers, arrived with 39 miles range left (17%) and averaged wh/mile was 359. In my experience real range for me is 200 miles from a 90% charge driving at reasonable speed but not flooring it as going faster than 70 takes loads more power
Did much better on way back, though as heading south it is downhill Left with 221 miles range (gained a mile due to superior Midlands electricity) arrived home with 49 miles left and 22% charge. Same driving style as way up, 343 wh/mile.

@Electric Toad I think it's both cabin and pack heating which really hurt range on short journeys.
Funny you should say that - I did a test related to this issue just yesterday.

I can confirm that cabin and pack heating both definitely are factored into the trip energy calculations, and on extremely short trips they can REALLY hurt economy :)
