Just as I was thinking how it would be useful to have some sort of iconography to indicate the presence of a rapid charger at the next services... I spotted the sign for sedgemoor on the M5 last sunday.

A front-on symbol of a car with a plug next to it, as large as the other icons! Cool!

The next step should be an LED backlit panel for the icon indicating whether the unit is in use or not

seen it at a few services however its not consistent, not every service has the icon

I'm sure that will change shortly. I wonder if these signage symbols have to be approved by the highways agency?
