Hi everyone,

Still looking into buying an EV, fairly certain we will be going for a 2nd hand leaf 24kWh through Nisaan and getting a charge point installed at our house. The obvious place to put it would be at the bottom of our drive near our garage but we are building a house extension later in the year (we hope), and th eplans include knocking the garage down and rebuilding there. Soooo... My questions are: How much does it cost to move an EV charging point after it has been installed and who is allowed to do it (electrician or a specialist or me etc.)

Feel free to point me to another thread if this has been covered but I didn't see one.

Ta,

Adam

There's no reason why a normal electrician wouldn't be allowed to do it. If it only involves taking it off the wall and putting it on somewhere else on that same cable run then theoretically you'll only be paying for the labour as there shouldn't a lot of parts needed.

Thanks for this - we will have an electrician in for the extension (obviously!) so this is good news. Can't realistically be more than a couple of hours work so fairly cheap!
