Since I wasn't able to take part in that trial earlier in the summer, I entered a couple of the Sevenoaks & District Motor Club's grass autotest events, held in one of the big grass car parks at Brands Hatch. You have to drive around some cones, occasionally reversing, in the quickest time possible without hitting any cones or going the wrong way.

They put me in Class B, which is FWD cars over 14 ft long, I turned the traction control off, and had lots of fun! It turns out that the foot operated parking brake in a Gen 2 can be used to do handbrake turns, which are needed for these types of autotest. Lots of wheelspin (indicated speed was up to 50+ mph at times) and skidding about.

Anyway, I recorded some of it on a GoPro type camera, and stuck it on YouTube.
