We have noticed that more often than not, when we plug our Kona EV in, our Zappi-2 screen goes off, then a quick reboot occurs.
Didn’t notice it in the first month or two of ownership, but happens most times now...I will try to remember to video it when we plug in next!

Annoyingly, it defaults up to FAST mode; we generally leave it on Eco+, so have to wait for the reboot to complete, then toggle it.

Anyone else see this?

I messaged them 2 or 3 days ago, but no response yet.

Very odd...I thought this one had a few replies, including someone who asked me to report back if it fixed because their Zappi v1 did the same....but apparently not! Maybe I imagined that.

Anyway, Myenergi supplied a new ribbon cable, with what look like suppressors or something on. I deployed it yesterday, but the first plugging in saw the darned thing reboot again
Back to support.....

Had no end of problems with my zappi 2! My 1st one kept rebooting and they replaced it. The 2nd still has major problems, reboots randomly, goes offline etc. Totally unreliable. They sent me a new ribbon cable last week, which I fitted on Monday, but still having problems. Their next solution is a firmware update, which I'll try soon (I'm away from home at the moment). If this doesn't sort it out, I'll be looking to have it replaced with another type!

Oh dear....we haven't had any random issues like you have suffered.
Funnily enough they have had me update the f/w for the hub and zappi2 this afternoon.....
First plug in was positive - no reboot.....will check again after a few miles later & tomorrow before I declare the problem solved.

Yeah, very odd. I asked the question as my Zappi V1 also reboots. But it looks like some messages got lost.
Anyway, my Zappi shows message "Rebooting..." and after about 3 seconds it shows "Waiting for EV". The whole sequence takes only about 3-4 seconds (so I ignored it until saw this post) and happens when charging is scheduled from the car.
Unfortunately i don't have solar and always use setting FAST so not sure if it has any impact.

@mikeiow is it the same behaviour you are experiencing?

You can change the settings so it has a different default mode on startup while waiting for a resolution to the reboot issue.

Charge Settings -> Default Mode. You can choose FAST, ECO, ECO+ or MEM. MEM starts in the mode it was on before the reboot and it is probably set to FAST currently

That was odd....those replies have reappeared. Weird!
Yes, the MEM mode works nicely, thanks....
& MyEnergi got me to upgrade the Hub and Zappi2 firmware.....

....but the Zappi is clearly not right - it rebooted again yet when we plugged in this evening :(

Back to support - that cannot be good behaviour!!
