Hi all.

Bought an Amperia 2 years ago and love it! Found out the wife is expecting our third child, and the Ampera is only 4 seats. Gutted.

I'm in two minds, sell the Ampera and get a good, expensive EV/Hybrid that fits 3 car seats, or but a cheap Petrol or Diesel run around to keep us going for a few years.

Ultimately I would love a Tesla long term, I just don't feel I can commit to those high monthly repayments in this uncertain economy.

At the moment, we are using the car (as a family) once a week.

I'm so torn, any suggestions? I have looked at things like the Outlander PHEV but they just don't look like good value for money when compared to the Ampera we have now. Damn my loins, ha ha.

Thanks.

Volvo V60 PHEV - cheap as chips, especially compared to the ampera - diesel economy after the electric runs out (24 -26 miles) and built very well thank you. Make sure you get all the toys you can afford.

Multimac say it's compatible with the Ampera, and it seems the console is just a piece of plastic that pops out:

Kia Optima PHEV

Get one registerred before March 2017 (which are mainly saloons) and road tax is free.
The estate's are great if you're happy paying the road tax.

I'm not crazy, the attack has begun.

Get another one. You can each drive your own if you all go out together.

Seems they do fit an Ampera. That would be such a cheaper option than a second car.

The Multimac also offers a bespoke fitting service if things are difficult. This is an extract from their 'rules' section.

" If the adult seat belt mountings are not present, or not conveniently positioned, our specialist fitting agents can provide alternative certified fittings which will not affect your car's warranty."
