Looks good Lee! Welcome to the Ampera Club.
Word of warning. When filling Ampera with Petrol (hopefully will not happen much) always stop fueling and the first click of the automatic shut off of the Petrol Pump. Over filling can cause problems as its a pressurised system.

Excellent, glad you have now collected it. My pictures were very similar as I also had their Lithium White demonstrator in the background. :)

Mine is NUA.

With your expected driving pattern I doubt you'll manage to keep the lifetime figure that high but good luck.

Mine was ruined with a 250 odd mile drive home to Glasgow. Just turned 700 miles yesterday and it is now up to 105 MPG. As I am managing my daily commute on purely battery power I should see that figure steadily climb. It will be interesting to see how you fare.

Enjoy :D

Lovely drive back to Cambridge from Sheffield. Not too bad for my first ride out in it.
Annoyingly my type 2 cable won't turn up until Monday, so no charging for me until next week. :(

Really pleased with how quiet it is, although the random high revving moments are most intriguing ;)

3 - 6 weeks wait!
I had decided that the volt was the right car for me some 18 months before the Ampera landed on our shores, and before GM announced European variant. I pestered Vauxhall to let me register my interest for months as I didn't want to wait a moment longer than necessary, and signed up on their website with a small deposit in Sept. 2011. There was a nice test drive day in Nov 2011 which was make or break for me. I needed it to be quick off the line or I was going to wait for something better. It passed, i placed the order in Jan 2012, and mine was among the first deliveries to customers on 31/04/2012. Well worth the wait. 6 weeks? - a blink of the eye!

Tats the trouble with us youngsters, we are so used to the instant gratification of reaching the next level on angry birds, that 6 weeks is like a lifetime to wait !
I think that I was mainly surprised that they didn't have a bunch of them sat around waiting to be delivered, as the options list is virtually non-existent ;)

When I went to order mine (June 2013) I wanted the forward facing camera option, this was the only option available apart from the colour. A week or so after signing on the dotted line I received a call from the salesman telling me that Vauxhall were not taking any more orders until they had shifted their current stock. I ended up getting one from stock and the option for the forward facing front camera vanished from the brochure and website.

Land vehicle Vehicle Car Hatchback City car

I finally picked up mine on Wednesday evening and love it! So far its lifetime average is "250+ mpg", since I've done about 120 miles on it and used 0.05 gallons (yes, really). I even managed to get back from the dealer in Leicester to home near Coventry purely on electric charge, with 1 mile remaining!
Everyone I take in it is blown away by the serene way in which it drives, yet with instantly accessible acceleration when required. I haven't quite squeezed into the 40 mile club yet as everything's been at either 60mph, or my 5 mile route to work which uses 9 miles of range because of climate control and battery temperature management.
I haven't figured out how to get the pre-warming system running to get it to bring the cabin temperature up while still on charge so I can improve that range, but it doesn't work how I expected so I have to read the manual again ;-)

There is, but you have to do some masonic handshake first, something like unlocking, then locking, then pressing the special button within 5 seconds...

Its a doddle. set the car up as you want in the morning the night before then lock up. In the morning press the lock the car button on the key fob and straight away press the button bottom right. If it is really cold then repeat.

Ah, so the vehicle will already be locked anyway, but you still press Lock, Pre-heat within 5 seconds. Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow morning!

Yes, definitely Lee. Meanwhile I'll prime your neighbours to video it and put it on YouTube ;)
