Just got mine today in cyber grey. Will pleased so far. Only thing is, the drivers door unlock button doesn't work. Can unlock from the passenger door button or the key fob but drives for button won't do anything. Anyone come across this before?

Excellent colour choice sir! Gladly don't share your door fault though - suggest you get straight on to the supplying dealer.

Really like my cyber grey as well! My drivers door button is working ok generally, but I've noticed a couple of times in recent weeks I've had to press it a couple of times for it to work.

We have that grey. I too love the white and if I ever was prepared to have a white car then I would want that brilliant white.

I hate washing cars enough to know it wouldn't work for me tho.

The driver side unlock buttons (both driver's door and rear door) recently stopped working on my Volt. I need to get around to giving my friendly neighbourhood garage a call.

Cheers guys, I'll get it into the dealers when I get back next week. Loving it so far.
Did a trip today that would normally cost about six quid and it cost me one single pound and I'll get the VAT back of that too!
I think for many of my journeys I'll probably be around the 70mpg Mark which I'm happy enough with. Only cars I could find that claimed close to that were horrible econoboxes and they probably wouldn't achieve that in the real world anyway.

It'll keep feeling better as you see those high mpg figures :) Have you tried putting it in Sport mode yet on a motorway slip road and accelerating into the traffic? :

My driver's door button stopped a few weeks back, the warnings had been there as it had failed to operate first attempt on a few occasions beforehand. Fortunately there is a spare button nearby (rear door!).

Drive mine in Sport and 'L' all of the time. Only annoyance is it won't remain in 'Hold' mode if you select sport and have battery left - just reverts to EV Only. Anyone else find this?

I've not used Hold mode for about 9 months, the need for it never really crops up.

I agree, it does do that, but I find "just flooring the accelerator" produces the same effect as "Sport" mode!

My understanding is that Sport mode just alters the throttle pedal movement to power relationship, There is no magic, other than that it feels very powerful but the same acceleration is available from the normal mode as you point out.
The same applies to 'L' mode. It gives no additional regen to that from applying the break pedal to get the same level of retardation. My understanding is that the cars disc brakes are not activated until the asked for retardation exceeds the regen capability at a particular road speed.
I like the sport mode for the feel it gives, but I only use the 'L' mode on steep downhill events, just kike using a lower gear in a manual transmission with an ICE.

That is correct. It changes the mapping of the throttle. That is all. But that mapping makes it feel more sporty because the power comes in with a smaller movement of the pedal. If you go flat to the floor in either mode you get full power. The good thing about L mode is that the mapping makes the throttle less responsive so you are less likely to press to much so you don't waste power so easily.
