Anyone know any more technical details or heard about this.

Apparently from next week or Early July 2012, if you have home broadband and agree to the government monitoring the electric usage, you can get 75% off installation. It maybe dependant on your postcode.

The charge station will need to be plunged into a free port on the broadband/ADSL router for a min of 3 years.

British Gas have always quoted 'up to' 75% off their charging points for people who live in a 'Plugged in Places' area. Judging from their blog they may have added one or two new qualifying areas:

Or is there some other announcement you've seen which says they'll give discounts to those of us outside those areas?
