Hay All,

I am in the process of buying a Kona EV MY21 as a business vehicle, the car would get about 35/40k miles put on it every year.

Does anyone had a 64 KWH version where they have done this over the last few years.

Are these reliable over this sort of mileage, the Traction battery warranty will run out within 3 years so I want to know if anyone has taken one to this sort of mileage and if they have had any issues.

I look forward to reading the discussion below.

Thank You.

My ears were burning

yep I think the long term battery health is going to be the least of your worries and everything else has a 5 year unlimited mile warranty. So not a lot to fret about with the Kona.

just watch the servicing costs the 40k one and 80k ones are eye wateringly High.

the Kona really fits the bill for high mileage drivers. It is falling a bit behind some of the new offerings with rapid charging speed but being honest if you start the day with a full charge an hours charge at some point during the day will give you another 220 miles while having a meal so 500+. Not a lot else can compete

interesting youtube Video from Australia to watch showing the Kona was the only EV to get it’s advertised (WLTP) range and was witch spitting distance of the M3 Long range for distance it could do yet £20k cheaper
