Near my son's home is a relatively new junction on the M1. I know this well because it's a useful alternative. But my brand new kona knows nothing about it.

So I've requested an immediate update to the satnav. This is something that's normally done at each service. But that presumes an up to date one to begin with.

Btw the satnav inside bluelink app knows about this junction.

Hyundai released new map software/general software just 2 days ago. A well known Hyundai dealer here in Germany told his followers. So I assume there should be something available for you as well. Which version is installed in your new car anyway ?

The maps are not the best and you certainly can not rely on them for features such as EV charging points.

by the way, showing the tricolour as I am on holiday in France ??

The appalling attitude from our dealer is "You need to ask us to do any infotainment updates sir. We don't check automatically."

Me: "So how am I supposed to know there's new software available?"

Them: "Have a look online sir."

They'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes...
