I was delighted to find that the new retail park in High Wycombe (behind Halfords and B&Q) had free to use Rolex chargers. As I was picking up something from Screwfix and my wife wanted to check out the adjacent new Aldi store I plugged into the Rolex in the Screwfix car park. Nothing happened. On checking in the Screwfix outlet I was told that it was nothing to do with them and the landlord had installed them but as far as they were aware had no intention of actually switching them on. Great; no wonder EVs get bad press.

NEW Retail park, probably a planning consent condition to provide chargers, maybe a question or even Freedom of Information request to Local Authority may prove fruitful?
Makes sense that it was required by Planning. Pity it didn’t include the requirement to switch them on!
