Ammonia carried in a vehicle? It's hazardous in a way that petrol, hydrogen, electricity or indeed Dynamite just isn't...

Why not go the whole hog and carry Hydrazine (N2H4)? Get more hydrogen out of that much more quickly. With the added bonus that if you suddenly need to put your car on the moon, Hydrazine can get it there - rocket motor optional.
