Nissan LEAF predates any mass production Tesla cars.

Yeah, I'll give you that one, but for sure, no one was considering a wholesale switch to EV production based on Nissan building the Leaf...

I listened to the whole podcast a few times. I get the feeling he is speaking the truth. Factories in USA and Germany are not cost-effective. I feel Tesla and the wider industry would continue expanding their manufacturing capacity in China unless something favourable happens. It's crazy that all the tax breaks and incentives offered by Texas aren't enough. It could well be directed at German unions demanding a pay rise for GigaBerlin members.

Just not making. I believe he his talking lost turnover not a profit loss.
