I am sure that you won't, although early MY20 have a battery recall hopefully yours will escape that.

aaii, is that an official recall? would I be entitled to this even if the car was not bought from a VW dealer?

In the UK VW dealership tends to pick up on this (if applicable) when car booked in for service. Presumably you will be taking your Passat to VW dealer for service to maintain manufacturer warranty due to vehicle complexity?

I am not sure yet where I am going to go on maintenance, do not know how much warranty is on it, it has 18000 km (11000 mls), I hope he does not have to go in at 12000 mls lol
