You may wish to consider switching your energy supplier to an EV friendly policy.Hi, I have never owned a EV before but am planning to purchase the e-Niro. Before we do we are moving into a new build home (next month) where our parking space is behind our garden. So we are looking to get an installer to run the cable through the garden and put it on a post rather than a wall.
My question is where do I start choosing who to install it and type/make of unit? Can I still get a smart charger? Any basic tips and advice is very welcome!!
Im currently with Octopus energy on their "go" tariff. They give 4 hours off peak charging at 5p per kWh.
I currently use the cars controls to program a charge timer to charge on the off peak hours. Although there are "smart" chargers which are able to sync with your smart meter and charge off peak etc, such as the ohme.
