It's not just 'privacy' that you "protect" if you withhold permission to share data it's all comms between vehicle & central computer (& hence your app).

We are still trying to work out why it blocked us out of the blue

I suspect that if you don't press OK, the system waits a few minutes then assumes you meant 'Not OK'.
