Having some involvement with a funeral directors, I did ask if they had considered electric vehicles (currently they use either Jaguars or Fords, chopped about massively by coachbuilders). The duty cycle seemed perfect - lots of short local trips with plenty of time sitting around where they could recharge, plus a lot of slow running (when an EV is most efficient).

The silence would also be much better than the burbling V8 they currently have.

They said the cost was prohibitive. Which was amusing since they currently burn their way through several hundred quid a week in petrol (yes, petrol).
