Hi everyone,

I'm doing a graduation project right now. The goal is to predict the energy consumption of the i3 based on data about the infrastructure, weather, driving style etc.

To validate my predictions, I'd like to make some trips with the i3 and measure my own speed and energy consumption (preferably every 0,1 second). I read that OBD-II and CAN are both able to do some data logging. I bought a rather cheap OBD-II reader and the application 'Torque' at the Android store, though the dongle cannot make connection with the vehicle.

Anyone having some experiences with data logging (for the i3)? As my dongle is probably just not working, does anyone have experiences with a working dongle?

Thanks!
