The government in it's Climate Bill are trying to do away with (but not stop people driving) petrol/diesel powered transport after 2030. You'll still be able to buy a plug-in hybrid until 2035. So for this reason, if it's not on this list now, I doubt very much if it will ever be added.

Still you never know, they've made U-turns before.

Hi all

I have just ordered a SEAT Leon e-Hybrid and am looking to have a home charge point installed. To my surprise, this isn't on the list of vehicles eligible for the EVHS grant. Does anyone know when and if this will be added please?
When is your car due to be delivered? Last update of the list was 4th December, the ID4 EV is on the list, but equivalent Skoda EV is not, so I suspect it is a matter of timing.

The gov website indicates that the scheme is for all ultra low emission vehicles, so it should still cover PHEVs.

Thanks for your replies.

The car is due to be delivered late February. I'm wondering whether it is worth holding out to see if the list is updated in Q2, or just biting the bullet. The emissions are 27g/km, so it should qualify when compared to other vehicles on the list.

Worth speaking to you dealer, or to Seat or Skoda direct? I assume they may have to apply to OLEV to get their vehicles added to the list?

Hi, I just took delivery of the estate e-Hybrid. Did you get a reply from Seat?
Congrats on the new car!

No, I didn't hear back from SEAT in the end, so I decided to bite the bullet and get a home charger without the grant.

Fair enough! I think I'll install an external socket, unlikely to need to charge quickly so the 3 point will do for the time being.
