Good evening all,

I'm really pleased to report a continued increase in the number of applications for charging stations we receive on a weekly basis which can only mean wider EV adoption - Great news!

On the downside, despite our very best efforts, the revised application process to access the OLEV HomeCharge scheme is nothing less than an absolute nightmare for manufacturers, installers and applicants. If you've applied through us and wonder why we're requesting so much information, and consequently why it's taking so long to process, please bear with us; we're doing our very best.

In the interest of simplifying the process as much as possible we've created a guide/application form which can be downloaded here:

If you would like to apply through us then follow the steps, send us the information in full and we'll book you in!

If you are looking to use an alternative supplier then feel free to use it as a guide to ensure you have all the information required to expedite the application process.

It is a nightmare.... it's almost as if OLEV only want companies with 20 + office staff spare to be able to install.

I feel your pain @Thomas_Newby we still have a claim outstanding from October as a finance company will not release a letter of authority for a chargepoint as their legal team is looking into it and is worried about the risk etc etc blah blah. It would have been a shed load easier if the DVLA told us what we needed instead of having most claims sent back and having to go back to the customer numerous times!
But to be fair Rhian at the DVLA is very helpful so hopefully it will get easier. We love people who own their vehicle - leased = nightmare.
For one customer - our H&S advisor Steve
Rejected once picture doesn't show off street parking - it was dark may have to bring flood lights
Re submitted - rejected as vehicle is not owned by our customer - it was in his company name
Re submitted again - rejected please prove relationship between customer and company....... Mad us want

Sorry hadn't finished..
Made us want to give up. On a plus side may get rid of the have a go heros out there.

That's got to be the only silver lining Chris. I'm also beginning to wonder if it might shake out some of the larger players too?

I'd like to know what's happening post march next year? Olev have said January some info will be out we will all wait with baited breath! Probably just give all the money to chargemaster, chuck £7.50 rapids in everyone's street and rinse the country dry!
