Introducing the Jaguar I-Pace HSE: The best 0 emission supercar
136778

136776

The I-Pace HSE is both courageous and breath-taking. Being the first known luxury car brand to design and deliver a successful electric car, it's the best you can find on the market if you're looking for quality, luxury and a powerful car, all while fully sustainable.
Accelerating from 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds and with a top speed of 112mph, if you want to feel the thrill of driving a supercar, the I-Pace HSE is perfect for you. With a range of up to 292 miles, range anxiety is a thing of the past. The I-Pace has a 90kWh battery capable of charging to 80% in 40 minutes from a 100kW DC rapid charger; impressive, to say the least. On a 7kW home charger, you can get a full charge in just 13 hours, making it perfect for overnight charging.

Interior design
The I-Pace’s interior could be described as the absolute best piece of art Jaguar has created in years. Premium materials such as leather surfaces and metal panelling, as well as comfortable seats and ample leg space, make the cabin ideal.
The Onto Jaguar I-Pace HSE comes with a beautiful glass panoramic roof from which you can enjoy the views.
Exterior design
For many car enthusiasts delight, Jaguar has decided to keep their iconic grill on the front despite being for aesthetic purposes only. In the I-Pace’s innovative design, the rear is tall and squared off for better performance. It not only makes the car look beautiful; it is distinctive and adds a strong and unique character.
The lighting is excellent, with the Onto HSE bringing the Matrix LED headlights which add extra support for visibility and road safety. The HSE also comes with 20" Style 5068, 5 spoke, Gloss Dark Grey with contrast, making the car stand out with this unique alloy design.

Driving and controls
One of our favourite features of the I-Pace HSE would be its adaptive air suspension. At higher speeds, you can lower the car to improve its aerodynamics, making it feel like you’re in a race car. At lower speeds, you can raise it, so you get better visibility and ground clearance. How cool is that?
The I-Pace HSE has an all-wheel-drive (AWD) and comes packed with great features for a seamless and extremely safe driving experience. These include adaptive cruise control with steering assist, high-speed emergency braking, a 360 surround camera, and a blind-spot assist, as well as traffic sign recognition.

Comfort and convenience
Jaguar’s infotainment system comes with a range of features to make your journey comfortable and convenient. DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, satellite navigation, voice control, and a rear-view parking camera are just some of our favourites.
You also get auto-dimming, power fold, heated door mirrors with memory and approach lights, and cabin pre-conditioning, so you can adjust the temperature to be perfect for when you start your trip.
Here is a summary of our favourite features:
  • A full-length panoramic glass roof
  • Privacy glass
  • Rear camera for easy parking
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Matrix LED headlights with signature DRL
  • MeridianTM 3D Surround Sound System

Available for delivery late-November, for £1299 per month with everything included.

Really???? Is the writer a time traveller from 1980?

I thought the IPace was quicker than that anyway, off to check the specs...

EDIT - 0-60 is 4.5

ONTO would be better if you wanted it for a month or possibly two (as there’s no £550 set up fee). Otherwise Pivotal is better value. You don’t get free fuel with Pivotal, but you can buy a lot of electrons each month with £349!

So far from ONTO I’ve had:

Renault Zoe ZE40 (10 months)
Tesla Model 3 Performance (1 month)
Tesla Model S (courtesy of Tesla SC, three weeks)
Renault Zoe ZE40 (6 months)
Renault Zoe ZE50 GT Line (3 months)
Peugeot e-208 GT Line (from 12/11/20 for ? months)

Could get an i-Pace for a month after the e-208, but I’d probably have to use my bike for three months to pay for it 🤣

Jaguar event at Millbrook proving ground a year ago.
took it round the bowl and floored it out of the joining lane.
Jag passenger with me had to tell me that the proving ground had asked if the drivers would keep it below 100, so had to back off a wee bit. 😌
The laps went very quickly too.

£1299 😭
A post from ONTO on their community forum to explain that high monthly fee:

“Hi all! We thought we would jump in just to point out the exact specification of the I-Pace we have added to the fleet. Not all comparisons are equal.

Jaguar offers the I-Pace with two powertrains, a 320PS (236kW) and the 400PS (294kW) model. All Onto I-Pace’s are the new 2021 model year and have the 400PS (294kW) All Wheel Drive powertrain. We then decided to go for the highest trim level offered by Jaguar, the HSE and added a few factory options we just had to have (metallic paint, panoramic roof and privacy glass). Our cars are incredibly well equipped!

Onto vehicles are also eligible for salary sacrifice. With the benefit-in-kind tax savings, the equivalent monthly price can drop well below £800 including insurance and with no deposit.”

They have said so in the ONTO forum, but it’s not obvious on the website and they haven’t updated the business page to show the i-pace yet. Anybody needs to call them if they are aware of that info, but they aren’t helping themselves by not making it clear.

£1300 per month, and they put the steering wheel on the wrong side!
It’s got the worst set of errors I have seen in any ad for a long time. Specs are all wrong along with the detail text, implying it’s the 2020 model, when in fact it’s meant to be the 2021 model and stock pics of an LHD model to boot. Doh 🙄
