Like the Cargo variant, the Combo-e Life, which can reach speeds of up to 130 kph, is equipped with the familiar 100 kW electric drive and a 50 kWh battery, which enables a WLTP range of up to 280 kilometres. Opel’s electric newcomer also corresponds to the familiar e-CMP models when it comes to charging: At a DC charging station with 100 kW or more, the battery is 80 per cent charged in 30 minutes; in Germany and elsewhere, the Combo-e Life comes with a three-phase 11-kW AC charger. The charging time is then five hours.

A friend of mine has just collected her Combo-e Life today. Can anyone tell us how to set the charging to limits to, sy, 80% SOC? We cannot find a way to set this limit, either in the app of in the car itself!

I don't think you can. We have a 2022 combo-e van & the only way we have been able to do it is by limiting the charge time on our podpoint home charger. If you're home charging it will charge at about 7kw per hour, which is approximately 14% of a 50kwh battery per hour. You can use the myvauxhall app to check the exact percentage of battery charge. Example battery is 66%, schedule charge for 1 hour & you'll have a battery approx 80% charged. It seems like a hassle but you get use to it, we don't normally charge ours to 80%, top it up to 60% each night after doing 50ish miles per day.
