Have just sold a Golf GTE (which was a great car) for a an ID3 Life in Scale silver

Colour: the VW site is nothing like the real thing (much darker), I really think the pictures could be more representative

Materials are a retrograde step down from the Golf
Gloss black has no place in a car esp on the door handles!

Even on bigger wheels the ride is much better

Steering feel and feedback not as good

The gearbox is not missed at all

Amazing space internally and it's very light and airy

I keep getting the keys out to put them in the ignition

Our first trip with 71% charge was 110 miles (maily DC and motorway - sticking to limit) with 6 miles around town on arrival, bit surprised to have 21 miles showing on GOM back at home

I used Wizzle to sell the Golf and it was a very painless process. It cost under £960 a year in depreciation and apart from routine servicing a gear and window switch failed both fixed under warranty.

Congratulations. I think Scale Silver is a great colour.

I went from GTE to e-Golf to ID.3 and I agree with all of your comments. The materials quality definitely went down from Golf 7 to 7.5 to ID.3, so I appreciate the piano black must be a bit of a shock 😆

Another thing you won't miss is the GTE spinning it's front wheels at the slightest provocation. Hopefully the tyres on the ID.3 will last a lot longer.
