We got one of the demo fleet delivered today for a week, and I managed a quick 20 miles between meetings. That's a whole lot of car for the money. An SUV isn't really my thing, but tootling through Brighton in silence turned a few heads. I had a couple of pulses of motor, but only when foot was applied to carpet. The thing has got modes coming out of the wazoo. I used the one you get when you turn it on
But the beauty of the Outlander (other EVs are available ;-)) is that you can just stick it in drive and drive. There may be all sorts of clever stuff going on underneath, but you don't need to worry abut it, unless you really want to (charge, save, etc...).
