Hi,
A quick question for owners of superb phev, can you run in pure EV mode with HVAC on or does it switch the engine on immediately?

When I test drove the Superb at the start of the year, I ran it for a while in EV mode and am pretty sure that I had the heating on (on account of it being a very cold, wet day in February), but I may have mis-remembered. The Passat PHEV (which is very similar to the Superb PHEV) definitely lets you have the HVAC on in EV mode.

I have recently taken delivery of a superb iv and yeah it does have a electric heater for the HVAC, however it kills the range, I find it best to pre heat when plugged in at home.

The VW Golf GTE / Passet GTE / Audi A3 e.Tron / Skoda PHEV's are pretty much running on the same / similar hybrid system's.
