How many manufacturers excluding Tesla have added Plug and Charge functionality?

I believe Smart have added it to the EQ but I can't think of anyone else.

Are and of the charge providers offering this as a service yet?

From what I can see all the hardware should be in place so it's just a matter of updating the software, the programmers only need to refer to the relevant spec.

This would negate the need for contactless, in fact once registered you wouldn't need a phone or a card to charge, I've been caught out a few times, lost my phone so couldn't charge and had to REX it home, forgot my wallet and phone so completely stuffed, fortunately I have a charger at the workshop otherwise I'd have been stranded (no dyno juice in the tank, practising being a BEV)

Plug and charge is a specific standard, but there are ways of doing similar.

FastNed do autocharge, and Gridserve will/are doing it on their new chargers.

Plug and Charge is part of the CCS spec which should include Type 2 as thats where the data pins are located.
