Sorry but ~111 miles a day just reinforces the EV stereotypes and you really should be thinking hard about your messaging to the wider public IMO.You might think that, however, we are hosting 15 major events during the trip which will prolong the length of time we are away. It's an exciting campaign aiming to celebrate the EV industry!
What message exactly? You could travel 120 miles a day by stagecoach in the 1780's If we start treating prospective owners as 21st century drivers then we will make some progress.come on Kevin its not a race or a record attempt they're just travelling around spreading the message?
Yes that's my take on it which seems fair enough to meI think the difference here (I believe the difference here) is this is more of a roadshow than a proof of how far/fast/long a car can drive. People might read into it their own way, but I don't think this is intended as a demonstration of EV capability, more just a show and tell tour.
Yes but, you're being too impatient. The 200+ mile range you can enjoy on a Tesla today isn't mainstream. Unfortunately it's still niche, and for the near term will remain a growing niche for those who can afford a luxury car. What message exactly? How much time do you think we have? If we are serious about the threats we face then we need to move quickly by engaging with todays drivers... replaying journeys from 250 years ago is simply not good enoughYes but, you're being too impatient.
