Just taxed my car this morning for the princely sum of £0.00 was amused that the final page of the process urged me to make my next car an electric one, and offered a link to show how much I could save?

Ah Yes - Did you know, though, that you can set up a direct debit to pay for your roadtax. And yes they will send you an email saying that they are going to take £0.00 from your account.

I've just done mine too. I was impressed how fast the site operated - no sooner had I entered the 16-digit code and clicked Next than the vehicle details appeared. Usually with this sort of database lookups you can almost hear the cogs whirring.
