Done it, purchased our first ever electric vehicle.

A 2018, 30kwh, blue Soul.

Being delivered next week by Jason Cleve at a great price. Jason has been fantastic throughout, fully understanding about the delay in buying the car due to a family emergency.

My wife's ICE car will go next week. As well as school and shopping duties, the Soul will also take over evening and weekend journey's from my company car, but maybe not runs out in my Lotus Exige.

If only my company car could be electric as well.


Just need to sort an outside charging unit and energy supplier.

Next to the accelerator!! Sorry couldnt resist. The brakes are fine, tend to drive in eco in town, rural roads which is nicer. Actually found the brakes better than the new model Soul. The ride was softer due to the lack of stupid lower profile tyres as well. Would have stuck with our 2018 if the range was 50 miles more to be honest, we preferred it.

How did you find the brakes?

Not driven the car yet (delivery is Tuesday), I'm sure it will be fine, just need to get used to it.
