I find It's automatically activated, but then, I've only setup one profile so far! (I also use easy entry and pin to drive)

I use easy entry, so the seat won’t move until I put my foot on the brake. The rest of the profile settings are set

And further to that, if you use pin to drive, you’re not prompted to enter your pin until you press the brake

When my husband drives the car but I am with him the car defaults as my profile for some reason. We both have easy entry set. Is there anything I can do to make this work?

You can select which of your profiles you want to have priority
