Do you think that two very alive earwigs inside type 1 pług could be a reason for random RCB tripping while charging? Wouldn't they be fried on first occasion?
When some time ago a sług moved into my garden extension socket it was promptly fried on first use.
I just removed said earwigs from the pług and wonder what's gonna happen tonight...
Surprisingly drain holes at the bottom of the pług are big enough for reasonably sized worms/insects.

Depends where they were. They only need to conduct 30mA to trip the RCD. Although even if it didn’t fry, you would think that 30mA wouldn’t be survivable by an insect.

Let’s hope that was the problem and you have it solved.
