Example from the Tour :

Battery = 77kWh
WLTP combined consumption = 16.2kWh per 62 miles (62 miles =100km)
77 divided by 16.2 = 4.75
4.75 x 62 miles = 294 miles
The advert claims 336 miles (not 294)

What am I missing ? The other models also have this apparent discrepancy.

I guess your calculation is based on sub-optimal ‘combined consumption’ and the 366 is based on ideal speed and optimal consumption (?)

Probably but all of the figures on the website relate to combined consumption so misleading to quote the 366 on a different basis. I'll ask VW....

There’s some faulty maths or more likely picking and choosing of numbers and not enough information. If you assume the VW manages the same efficiency as the Kia, rated at 280 miles from a 64kWh battery, which equates to 4.4 mi/kWh then 336 miles from the 77kWh battery would be bang on. I haven’t kept up with the efficiency measurements of the id3 but what I understand is it’s at least as good as the e-Niro so the mileage number checks out.

I have the 58kW version, and i don´t have a light foot. But i mainly drive on the highway which drains battery very rapidly. Whenever i drive in city i can make very nice consumption figures. For example today i drove 15km to get lunch and only "used" 5km from the battery. Plenty of regeneration. So, its extremely dependeble on the type of conditions you drive.
