Recently I've noticed a huge increase in range when my Gen1 Leaf battery temp is elevated. After work I travel 39 miles from a nearby rapid (m40 Warwick services) to home. LeafSpy tells me it's used 140 Gids if I 'press on' and as low as 110 Gids if I drive like I'm driving Miss Daisy with an egg under the pedal. The battery temp is generally under 22deg.
However recently I've twice done this exact route after a succession of rapid charges and the temp has been above 28deg. The energy used dropped to 90 and 87 Gids! I was amazed. It's probably not too good for the battery life to do this regularlythough.
Has anybody else experienced similar?

Yes they suggest that in summer you can get upto 10 miles compare to winter. I also do find that after a rapid I have a bit more range as the battery is much warmer.
