Is in the final stages of its installation-Hallelujah!

After taking my Leaf for its first MOT, I spoke with the boss who told me the cabling and groundwork is done and he will contact me when the unit is finally installed very soon :)

I relayed my thoughts about accessibility to the charger (not being under lock and key or having to otherwise mither staff for access) and he assured me he wanted to make it accessible, albeit within the working hours of the dealership.

I'll keep you posted of developments-bagsied first public use!

It is good news but as charger congestion is increasing, to have theses locked up at night is bonkers. Sadly Chorley Nissan at Burnley have taken the same decision, and Westway in Manchester City Centre will also be dealer hours only. I heard this week that public rapid chargers in the GMEV scheme have been reduced to three from five. The North West has an excellent 32A network, but rapid charging in the region is poor, with a bleak outlook. Nissan could plug the gap with 24/7 dealer access, plus gain an advantage over the ever increasing competition. Opportunity missed.
