Due to excessive and abnormal rear left tyre wear on my 2 year old (14k miles) Tekna, Nissan UK eventually replaced the rear axle and tyre, adjusted tracking / balancing and returned the car to me after a ‘road test’.
As soon as the car was returned to me, I started hearing a loud knocking from the rear left quarter, every time I went over a bump and have now complained again to Nissan CS.

Just wondering what my local muppet-staffed Nissan dealer did on the afformentioned road test..

Grrrrrr..

Very likely did a short drive, heard the knocking noise but assumed it was 'normal' !

If they are anything like my dealers, all mine did was drive less than a mile from tyre place to showroom and declared upon their arrival that my steering wheel was straight and that the axle was not bent, that was after the tyre guy told them that the roads here were not suitable due to cambers etc, and them having 4 independant alignment checks all of which show the rear axle geometry is out of manufacturers tolerance !!
