Hi,

Has anyone used the rear heated seats whilst having a car seat in the back?

I cant decide if thwy will get hot enough to cause damage to the plastic base of the seat over a period of time and possibly stick to eachother.

Got a trip planned for December that will be early start and late home when uts coldest, but will have a car full and a 260 mile round trip.

Any help please.

I very much doubt that the heat from the seats will melt the solid plastic, if it was that hot then it would be deemed unsafe for people. Just put an extra layer of something under the child seat.

They will be fine my daughter has a booster that's plastic on the bottom so the heated seat just keeps her back warm.

We've had a car seat in for 12 months now, and no melting has occurred with use of the heated rear seats. I would guess that it's much warmer when parked in the sun. A car seat protector or perhaps a blanket as you mention is a worthwhile investment. The amount of crumbs it collects is shocking! The seat is as good as new under the mat.
