After lots of consideration, I'm looking to lease an eGolf for at least the next 24 months.

I've had quotes from Drive Electric who seem like the true specialist out there right now, but would really like to use the knowledge of others here before I take the plunge. Are there other leasing companies I should be considering that may offer a better deal?

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. That was what got me wondering, although I hadn't even considered the 1 month in advance option! Anyone got any experience of these guys? (Car leasing Online Volkswagen).

My lease deal is £289/month, 36 months, 1 month upfront. 10k miles with reversing camera. Found the deal on Yes-lease but had The Vehicle Leasing Specialist match the deal. Try looking at leasing.com too.

Trying to find a replacement for our now-closed company car scheme

Looking for no deposit, with maint, pref insurance too.
Anyone know of someone doing eGolfs with those tick box options ?
Needs to be a car that would really really be delivered March April 2020 ( so rules out Mk8 GTE, ID3, Citroen eTense etc)
There's some cheap Mk2 Passat GTEs being flogged but not the advance model and I really like the look of the Digital Dash.

I thought that there was 0% lease option offered from VW dealers directly? It did require a little more of an initial payment though...
I know they were offering 0% PCP deals with £750 deposit contribution. Also a 3ish% with £2k contribution. The numbers they gave me didn’t add up though as they wanted over £400/month for PCP using my A3 as p/x 😱

Leasing.com and WhatCar? Leasing for comparing costs. I just stick it in a spreadsheet to get total cost (don't forget admin fees) although leasing.com is much better at showing totals now.

A lot of leasing is via relatively small brokers who just make a small cut on the deal, funding will be via VWFS or a major like Arval or Network, and a VW dealer somewhere will actually supply the car.

Mine is coming via Jet Vehicle Finance who were cheapest at the time. One thing you may want to check is which dealer the car will be coming from - traditionally lease cars are just driven to you by someone but for EVs they don't want to go more than 100 miles. Not a problem for me to get a train up to Bradford and drive it 240 miles home but if you definitely do want it delivered then get that agreed upfront.

Great tips, thank you! I did have quotes direct from a VW dealer, but they wanted 15% of the RRP of the car as deposit, that then unlocked the 0%. But it was still way more expensive than leasing.

Will get cracking on the spreadsheet now using Car-Wow, What Car and Leasing.com to start.

robbo21982 - the deal you got looks like a great one!. That's something to aim for.

Thanks all!

I wish my mileage was that low. Currently around 10K so it'll cost me a little more, but that's a great cost for me to aim for, thanks! Will check out Select Car leasing now (especially with the options you've added).

Did they give you any kind of lead time?

If you're willing to settle for something a little smaller, I just discovered the missing figure for leasing the new Mii Electric directly from SEAT:-

  • Deposit - £4,399
  • Monthly - £199 (48 months)
  • Mileage - 10,000/yr
I'm sorely tempted by this!

I don't think it has quite enough range for me unfortunately. I need to allow for 70+ miles inbetween charges (the journey to and from work).

Will need to check the range (and also I'm only looking for 24 months)

I can only see this on the Seat site as part of the PCP offer with a massive deposit. Can't see any other offer?

They said 12 weeks at the most really depends on when it gets built it’s ready to be scheduled into production currently
