Have 18 reg GTE, doesnt have camera fitted but was wondering if I bought a VW camera unit, could it be installed and work? Or is it something that has to sorted when the car is new?

You can have them retro fitted as I have seen this on a Facebook group. One Company called VW Retrofit in Leicester can certainly do this for you. Good luck.

Oh nice one! Im based in Devon so Leicester is abit too far, especially with current restrictions but will look about. Cheers!

These guys are based in Poole, and have fitters around the country. I haven't used them (yet) but getting a reverse camera fitted us on my to-do list
