Hi All,

While I wait for my ID.3 to be built I've been playing spot the ID.3 out on the roads and so far, in the last couple of weeks, the tally stands at 2. One in Black Park car park and a fleeting glimpse in High Wycombe, none on my travels last weekend to the Peak District.

In that same time I've seen more Maclaren, Ferrari, Aston Martin etc supercars. Plus innumerable other EV.

I have also seen many more stupid Toyotas as I have termed the CHR that I'll have for a couple of months when I hand back my Golf GTD.

I'm looking forward to joining what seems to be a very exclusive club 😆. I'll see you on the roads from mid July, actually, I probably won't.

I've seen 3 or 4 in my local area now and I wouldn't have said we have a lot of EVs, having said that I did see 4 Model 3s almost driving in convoy the other day so 🤷‍♂️
Strange to see in the last couple of weeks that one of my neighbours keeps getting a visitor with a Stonewash Blue ID.3 just like mine. Even has the same wheels. Gonna get confusing I think. Waiting for more to appear. Or maybe they'll have babies.
I’ve seen about 5 ID3’s in 5 months. Only 2 driving, we waved, the rest at chargers.
indeed rare beasts.
Most are at the dealers being fixed

I was thinking the same, but debating weather to say. Had mine 2 weeks (after 6 week at dealers), it’s going back next week to see if they can fix the issues.

I’ve seen quite a few since late Feb, I actually parked next to one in the Yorkshire Dales and another keeps appearing at the Tesco charge point

Apparently ID3 is 3rd in Europe BEV sales this year to date. Behind Tesla M3 and the Zoe.
In the UK the eNiro has been #1 in Jan and Feb.
I live a mile from quite a large VW garage so common as muck round here (Bristol). Even excluding that road, probably seen five of six in the wild in the last month.
I’m in Bristol and haven’t seen any. Saw one in Surrey last weekend tho
With the exception of the local dealership, I've only seen 3 ID3s, and one of them (a first edition Manganese Grey) live in the street behind ours (which is kind of still our street because the driveway is at the back of our house and entry is gained through the street behind). I'm in North Tyneside.
I haven’t see that many. When mine is parked up in North London, lots of pedestrians stop and have a look at it. I wish I could lip read, but I’m sure one guy said to his girlfriend “It’s the new Golf” 😆

When I got my Polo GTI+ in Jul 2018, I was asked a few times if it was the new Golf.
I've seen maybe 15 or so since December, low compared to the number of Leafs, Zoes and Teslas mind. I do ~1300 miles a month for work though
There's one on a driveway less than a mile from my house .. but then there's three i3s I see daily, and a fleet of Teslas I see all the time too. None of these facts are surprising!
(Though I am surprised by how many brand new i3s I see.)

well there is definitely at least one 😁

Ours is stonewashed blue and on a BP70 plate. There is another in our local area same colour, same reg; it's spooky. Apart from that seen one more around in turquoise.
I have to admit that my original post was inaccurate, I'd also seen a stealth ID.3 turning around in a local estate. It was moonstone grey and filthy! Slipped my mind 🙂.

Either way I'm looking forward to joining the ranks of EV converts.
saw another one today on the opposite side of a roundabout. Watched then gesticulate in my direction - wonder what they were saying
I’ve had mine getting on for two months now. In that time I’ve seen one other locally (Lincolnshire) and one in Peterborough. Oh, there was a blue one at the VW dealer’s when I took my daughter to test drive a Polo, but that one was not in the wild.

If it was black, could have been me in Lincs!
