Even after signing-up with a Yahoo/Flickr account I can't see these photos as it says they're private.

Is the controller a Mainpine EPC, a ZeroCarbonWorld EPC, or a Rolec unit?

If it's a Mainpine EPC then if the LED is not lit then it should mean that there is no power going to the device at that time. However, you've confirmed that there was power, and so if it is a Mainpine EPC it would seem to be defective. However, you've replaced it, and the behaviour is the same, so I'm thinking that it's not a Mainpine EPC.

No, it's a Rolec EPC from the earlier photos. Are they actually made by Mainpine though then rebadged/rebranded?

No, they're not rebadged Mainpine EPCs. They just look similar. (Then again, everything that mounts on a DIN rail looks "similar".)

If Rolec cannot resolve this for you then you could replace the Rolec controller component with a Mainpine EPC. You'd want a qualified technician to do that, but it would get it working. However, I would hope that Rolec could take care of you as their customer.
