Rolec said the problem is because the new Nissan leaf 2014 was upgraded and the Rolec charger was put in on 2014
Will only work on the old Nissan leaf and I will have to pay to have this fixed because Rolec didn't upgrade the system.
Just how many charging points have Rolec put in this year that doesn't work

getting hot at Rolec

Dear Mr Palmer,
Before I am willing to pass your contact details to an alternative OLEV approved installer, I need confirmation from you that you are accepting that the works to be carried out will need to be paid for. There is nothing wrong with the unit you have had installed it is just not the correct unit for your vehicle. I am not willing to pass your details to an alternative installer if you are just going to constantly suggest the unit is faulty, they will not be willing to carry-out the works for free.
There are several options available to you:
· Confirm your acceptance of the above and I will pass your details to an alternative installer who can give you a price to amend your unit.
· You purchase a 20amp RCBO from us at £19.00 (including delivery and VAT) for your own choice of installer to fit.
· You purchase a 32amp upgrade kit from us at £34.27 (including delivery and VAT) for your own choice of installer to fit.

I plugged in the car, and waited for the clonk from the contactor in the box, when I noticed that the contactor went on and off continuously with a frequency of approximately 1-2 seconds.

I turned off the box on the breaker behind the glass window, stopped the charging and removed the cable from car and box.

I turned the box on again with the breaker, but the contactor still flip flops at the same frequency. Nothing at all is connected to it!

It seems that a thunderstorm yesterdat had knocked out the controller relay (ACSE0020). I ordered a new from ecoharmony.co.uk. not same brand but lower cost - hope to get it this tuesday (4 days) till then we use the "Grandma-cable".

Basicly all you need is this controller, a 16 / 32A contactor, face mount receptacle and a box to build it into - and you're rolling :)
