My Fluence has rather a poor preheat, so I presently run an extension lead out to it to power a 1500 watt oil filled radiator. This is rather a palaver, and of course requires me to pinch the lead in the door.

I wonder if I could connect into the car's mains supply to run my radiator? I would only charge at 8 amps so as not to overload my home charger. This would also be handy when I'm charging on Source London. (There you are billed for the time, not the kwh.)

Anyone done anything like that?

8 amps charge, and a 1500w heater....

So 14.25a continuous.... unless this is a 16a Type 2 to Type 2 then I suggest you make sure your insurance for house fires is excellent and will cover you for overloading!!! Just hope the trip or fuse goes before it all sets on fire....

Hi, are you using a 7.5kw 32a car charger which you intend to drop to 8A and also run a 1.5kw heater. How would you connect it to the same outlet and would the heater be switched with the car's CP wire?
